RCH Supports Valley Water’s Penitencia Water Treatment Plant IS/MND with Air Quality and Noise Analyses

RCH provided environmental technical support for the Penitencia Water Treatment Plant IS/MND in Santa Clara, California. As part of Valley Water’s ongoing infrastructure improvements, the project includes enhancements to washwater treatment systems, sludge handling and dewatering facilities, and sedimentation basin operations.

RCH prepared Air Quality and Greenhouse Gas Emissions Technical Reports, with emissions modeling and a health risk assessment for construction activities. RCH also conducted on-site noise monitoring that included 2-D construction noise modeling to analyze construction noise reaching nearby residences. To conform with the City of San Jose Noise Element, RCH recommended installation of a temporary noise barrier directly adjacent to demolition activities.
